Just a small space to get to “know” me a little bit more (resume), “see” me (photo’s) and know what has influenced my life and teaching the past several years (books).

By way of music i am pretty diverse, but love the Counting Crows, DMB, Matchbox 20, Lifehouse, Jars of Clay, Snow Patrol, She & Him, Cotton Jones, Johnny Cash and remixed classics.

I enjoy indie films (The Visitor is not only incredibly acted but completely thought-provoking), foreign films (Paradise Now is one of my favorites, and Marie Full of Grace is excellent) but also enjoy Napoleon Dynamite, Nacho Libre, Mall Cop, What About Bob and I own the complete series of MASH on DVD (Hawkeye is my small screen hero).

I love the Boston Celtics – I loved them when they had Bird, Parish, McHale, Johnson, Ainge…not just when they happened to win a championship 3 years ago.

I love the Green Bay Packers – Aaron Rodgers is the man.

The Cubs are the ONLY baseball team to root for in the MLB!

The Iowa Hawkeyes are my passion in college sports!!

Definitely Jay-Z over Lil’ Wayne, Moby over Eminem (though “Not Afraid” by Eminem is a really thought provoking song).

And organic, fair-trade, bold coffee over flavored hot water (tea).

I also have a renewed passion for vinyl records…possibly the best way to listen to music!
